Burroughs Brings New Customer Contracts a Cost-effective Processing Alterative
August 09, 2010
The item-based cost model provides the hardware required to process even the heaviest daily volumes, while only charging for the actual volumes processed.
Burroughs Payment Systems has established for all new customer contracts a cost-effective payment-processing alterative for financial institutions not currently pursuing a branch capture implementation as part of their near-term plans.
Alan Howard, president and CEO of Burroughs, said, “We understand while many financial institutions are actively pursuing branch capture as their preferred check-processing alternative, many others continue to effectively process in a regional or centralized manner.”Howard added, “Burroughs is uniquely positioned to provide an alternative that provides improved hardware reliability at a reduced price, while simultaneously eliminating the risk associated with declining US check volume.”
The item-based cost model provides the hardware required to process even the heaviest daily volumes, while only charging for the actual volumes processed, according to Howard. “It allows the institution to replace very old check processing equipment with modern sorters without incurring a capital expenditure, reducing this investment to a cost-effective monthly operating expense. Users also will see this monthly expense continue to decline over time, as check volumes continue to decline,” said Howard.
The program is available immediately through your Burroughs sales representative or contact Burroughs at www.burroughs.com.
